She has consistently shown tremendous effort and persistence in her workouts, consistently striving to achieve her fitness objectives. TJ's optimistic mindset and desire to improve make her a wonderful workout partner, and she is always ready to encourage her peers.
Why did you start CrossFit?
I spent years trying to find a fitness regime that would push my fitness levels and was more than having to self motivate at an every day gym. When I heard of CrossFit it carried a stereotype that you had to already be an athlete to participate, but after I was convinced to give it a go, the stigma was quickly squashed and i knew I'd finally found myself the best platform to push my physical boundaries and a community I'm really proud to now be apart of!
What do you enjoy most about CrossFit?
It's the dynamic variety and programming for me! No WOD is rarely ever the same and every class targets something new. We're continuously being coached on improving or learning a different skill or movement.
What is your favourite CrossFit moment?
Probably the time I booked last minute into a regular Saturday class but actually registered for the Sagitta In-house throw down comp and got paired with one of our master athletes, the support I got from our crew was amazing and the vibe around us was incredible!
What impact had CrossFit had on you outside of the gym?
CrossFit has played a huge part in making me the fitter, happier, healthier mum i am today. Not only has it improved and contributed to my physical conditioning but it's also played a huge part in my mental fitness giving me a space to meet and be around like minded people from all walks of life who encourage and support each other in being the best they can be every time time they get to the box.
What advice would you give someone who was thinking of trying CrossFit?
I couldn't think of a better place to start a crossfit journey. Sagitta is the place you leave your ego at the door and get welcomed in by crew and coaches who go above and beyond to expose you to the correct techniques and have you leaving feeling supported and like family.
